The 2nd Grade Field Trip to Sodalis Nature Preserve, Mark Twain Dinette, and Huckleberry Park 2016-1
An amazing day at the Sodalis Nature Preserve, downtown Hannibal, and Huckleberry Park. We hiked a 3 mile trail as a group from the preserve parking lot to the amphitheater and then to Nipper Park in downtown Hannibal. Kathi Moore from the Missouri Department of Conservation met us at the amphitheater to teach us about bats. After we ate lunch at Nipper Park, the kids and their parents completed a scavenger hunt to learn about Nipper Park. When the scavenger hunt was completed, we walked to Mark Twain Dinette to enjoy rootbeer floats. We then loaded the bus and headed to Huckleberry Park to enjoy time playing. It was a fun day!
